Styles layered over ten centuries, we highlight the changes made by Al-Hakam II. Who built the "Mihrab" with inscriptions from the Koran in gold and rich mosaics and carved expressly provided beautiful capitals in Cordoba. He made the most beautiful enlargement, highlighting the dome, the decoration in stone and admirable intersecting arches.
The most controversial reform when the Catholic Monarchs added in the fifteenth century, the Chapel. But changes continued until the mid-eighteenth century.
What we must not lose ourselves in the Chapel is the silver lamp, its Gothic arches, baroque carved mahogany chairs Choir and ivory image of the Blessed Virgin, or more than 50 chapels attached to the walls and the Treasury .
